What are you favorite cards that offer "special deals/perks"?
So as we all know, many credit cards offer stuff like cash back, reward points, discounts and perks.
These are all advertised on their websites and in their marketing for all applicants.
However, beyond that, some cards will offer deals that aren't written into the terms of the card agreement.
For example, most recently many Discover card users got targeted offers for extra cash back on specific spending requirements.
Another example is the Citi Shop Your Way card, where just looking at the terms of the card, it seems lackluster, but it often gives high value incentives for short term spending thresholds.
Please list your favorite cards that offer such perks that go above and beyond the terms of the card agreement, and give a few examples of your favorite incentives.

Re: What are you favorite cards that offer "special deals/perks"?
Hmm, let's see, I'll play.
Working on my current experiment, using 1 personal card 4/19 - 5/21 all spend. I spent $28,080 about 9% was personal spend and will get $1,700 worth of travel out of it for a total of 6% for total spend and 66% based on what my personal spend was.
Therefore, my secret as you can tell is business spend. Chase may want to know what happened to me this month......I think they put me on a milk carton or reported me as missing person.

Another one I wanted to mention, is P2's Naviest Rewards MasterCard from Old Navy (Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, Athleta).
Anyway, they often have promotions like right now, if you post 5 transactions outside of their brands/stores, you earn $20 worth of rewards.
There's no minimum spend for it either, so I've just done 5 transactions of a dollar or so to get the $20 (2 months in a row).
Nothing spectacular, but P2 will be happy with the extra shopping spree.

Re: What are you favorite cards that offer "special deals/perks"?
red, I don't think that addresses the nature of the question.
Dopel, for sure my number one answer is SYW but you already mentioned that. Otherwise it would be the regular online and local shopping offers from Chase, citi, Cap 1, even upgrade. One of my favorites is an extra 5% at walmart.com from Cap 1 on top of the 5% I get from my walmart card. My upgrade only did this once but it offered $25 on $500 spend, so 5% on top of the 2.2% uncat spend. Sometimes Chase will have really nice offers amongstthe shopping offers like $5 for $25 spend on any dining. And then sometimes Chase will offer an extra 5% cat outside of the regular quarterly 5% cats or add additional % CB on top of the quarterly 5% cat(s). One quarterthe Chase amazon card had 10% gas. I have read about additionalDisco 5% cats being added for some but I've never received those. For a limited time, my Rewards+ card offered 5% on 'retail'. Oh, that reminds me, one of my favorite unadvertised perks is the ability to link citi cards (R+, DC, CC) which gives the DC and CC the R+'s benefit of an extra 10% when cashing out TYPs.

Good stuff @ptatohed.
Feel free to talk about SYW, but of course there's soooo much there, it may be better for anyone not familiar with that card to read your massive thread dedicated to it.
https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/I-m-just-loving-this-SYW-card-10-CB-gas-dining-grocery...
Personally it's on my get-it-soon list, but I have so many I want, I really need the Nusenda for education expenses sooner than later.
Got a USB Shopper in March, and just approved for Chase FF.
The AAA card is (potentially) scheduled for March, and I also want the Kroger card, so I'm not sure how I can do all of those without getting flagged as seeking too much credit.
Plus with so many cards helping me max potential earnings, I don't know how much spending I could even dedicate to the SYW.
Decisions decisions...

On the contrary it does for some of us. It's a special deal and perk of having cards with business spend that isn't in the card's T&C and many of us have this perk. Getting $1,700 worth of travel rewards with only about $2,500 personal spend is a hell of a perk, isn't it?
BTW getting 6% on $28K spend (1 card) in a month by itself is a great deal, I don't think you could squeeze that out in a month spending $28k with any of the CB approaches offered.

X I believe OP asked your favorite cards that offer special perks and I don't believe you listed any cards. And, for me, I wasn't even clear what exactly the perk was.
X We've discussed this before. I would have zero use for 6% in travel value. I'd rather have 3% in cash. I know you prefer the travel.

Or even better: I steal on overage two credit cards a month, and put about $10K on each before ditching. While it sucks that I don't get to keep the cash back or points (and probably neither does the real owner if they report it as fraud) I do get everything free. So my secret is simply to consider a credit card as a shared resource.

Re: What are you favorite cards that offer "special deals/perks"?
Speaking of Chase offers, my freedom has a new 15% (on top of the quarterly 5% dining) at BK. Nice!
Today my wife is meeting me at work and we'll go to 5 Guys for an extra 10% back.
(5 Dudes is typically too rich for my blood but my wife is a secret shopper and so the meal is reimbursed + they give her a small fee + the 15% cash back - we'll end up making money, lol . )
