SUMMARY

  • I have an exceptional eye for pixel - perfect details while creating the UI designs.
  • I interact with the business, the users, and eventually with the developers, and IT directors to make sure everyone is in alignment with the functionality. Hence, I act as the common link between everyone in the team, and have been the SME for the apps I have worked on so far.
  • I am a self-starter, and take part in requirement gathering, and perform user interviews. I have been complemented with asking the right questions, and coming up with creative solutions, that would be convenient for the users to interact with, and also wouldn’t involve a lot of development effort.
  • I am very patient with any critique/feedback that is being shared by the stakeholders, and users. I can visualize, and implement the feedback very quickly, and iterate as needed.
  • I create all the design artifacts on my own, and make sure the icons, and components are accurate, and that they have the look and feel that complement how the application should appear in the end.
  • I have interviewed many UX Designers, and guided the designers through the design process.
  • Finally, I create the visual designs to promote the applications I have created. Some of the collaterals I have created are:
  • Brochures

  • Illustrations
  • Motion Graphics
  • Logos
  • Creating and maintaining Icons, and interaction components.

UI/UX Designer

Responsibilities:

  • I connect with the users individually, and as a group, to get their thoughts, and opinions on what they would like to see in the app that would make things convenient, and faster to perform functions like adding criteria questions, processing PA Cases as quickly as possible, and managing Correspondence templates.
  • Being the only UI/UX designer from the start of this project. I have connected with business, and the product managers to understand their desired features, and implement them in the App. This has helped me take the initiative to handle things on my own.
  • I lead the production support by interacting with business, and the Ops users to understand their needs, and find the best way to implement the features. First, by creating the prototype mockup flows, reviewing it with the users, and then connecting with the developers to guide them on what needs to be done, and more importantly, WHY it needs to be done.
  • I analyze the requirements documents, and co-ordinate with the BA's and business team to come up with the initial wireframes.
  • I take the Accessibility features into consideration while coming up with the color contrast, and facilitating features that would be read well by the screen reader. I test the screens out with the screen reader, and lead the weekly Accessibility meetings.
  • I leveraged on CVS's design system, to come up with a design system that suited the app I am creating, and also complemented the look and feel of the CVS brand.
  • I create all the assets for the app, from scratch, and can create prototypes quickly using Adobe Illustrator, and Figma. Finally I integrate the screens in Axure, and review it with the users, the SME’s, and the IT Director.
  • I am the functional lead for the Development team, and the person responsible to make them understand the flow, and to make sure all requirements are met.
  • I do the design review for the application, and share my feedback with the developers. I conduct dailies to track the progress of the fixes.
  • I am the SME, in the sense that I know the business logic from top to bottom, and I was called in to present the reasons for creating this app, to all, including Managers.
  • I oversee the functionalities that are implemented. The front-end and back-end look up to me, and the design prototypes I create, to understand the business use cases.
  • I performed, tracked, and helped resolve the defects in IQT (integration quality testing) for the app.
