Or… Why Not Make Your Own?

The following dog food recipes will give you a great start into the world of homemade dog food. Try them as they are or experiment and substitute with your own ingredients and see what works best for your dog.

Time Saver

In the long run using a homemade dog food recipe is a time saver for me. One huge thing for me in making my own dog food is I can tweak the recipe and add in supplements that I want to give my dog.

I make a weeks worth from one dog food recipe and I also add the appropriate amount of supplement divided up in daily doses for the week. I give my dog “Miss Poovey” Worm Free Naturally and Sea Kelp Naturally so it’s super easy to just add in the total weekly dose and then when I divide the dog food recipe into daily portions it’s already in there.

It’s a small thing that sometimes feels like a big thing when I am busy attending to all that I have to in the daily running of Alternative Animal.
